WRITING A SCIENTIFIC PAPER STEP BY STEP
Writing a scientific paper in a foreign language is tough work. When
the time comes to write it, many students feel left to their own devices.
However, writing a scientific paper involves not only literary abilities.
It is above all a matter of organisation.
This writing workshop is designed to help you step-by-step through the
process of creating a research paper. Specific exercises will support
the process of organising your work and getting your thoughts down on
paper; revision techniques will help you to improve the quality of your
writing. Peer review - a crucial part of the writing process - will
help to strength the writing of both reviewers and writers.
This writing workshop is project-based: you will work on your own publication
project using your existing data. Prior to attending, you will need
to identify your target journal and bring along the guidelines for authors.
This workshop is specially designed for non-native speakers. It will
be run in English. A good level of understanding and speaking is needed.
